About the artist

Michael John Jones, best known by stage name “Mike Giovanni”, is an American recording artist and songwriter. Born in Cincinnati on November 26, 1990, Giovanni is the son of Dionne and Pastor Julius Mitchell. Named after his mother’s favorite uncle, Giovanni also acquired the traditional talent in music, such as most members of both sides of his family possessed. In 2014, Mike Giovanni teamed up with Alabama native Kazon to brand, develop, and produce for local recording artists across the US, which lead to the creation of Elephants in Motion (EIM). Working side by side, Kazon and Mike Giovanni produced and co wrote several indie songs for artists such as Los Angeles own Jayy Starr and Baltimore’s rising star Bink Baghdad. Despite having the local buzz, he self published his first EP 2705 in 2017. The result launched his solo career as a R&B singer and songwriter.
