About the artist

The Cartographers are an American indie rock band from Columbus Ohio formed in 2007. The band consists of Danny White, Natalie Smith, Cole Ishida-Plavcan, Jeff Tiedeken and Ben Daly. The band’s debut album, Distances and Destinations, was released in 2011. Their momentum was halted shortly after due to member changes. As of recently, their lineup has been solidified and their second EP, Beyond Your Eyes, was released in 2016. The full album is set to release sometime in 2017.

The music has elements of the post-rock genre driven by modern guitar styles and classical piano technique. The band’s name refers to the profession of map making. All of their songs are memories, ideas, places, and emotions that all together make up the maps of their lives.
