About the artist

Egenes is a sideman and a session player, a multi-instrumentalist who plays acoustic and electric everything…. guitar, mandolin, banjo, dobro, pedal steel, Weissenborn, lap steel, accordion, fiddle, bass, mandocello… you name it. He even plays the Theremin and the musical saw, fer cryin out loud. Besides playing on lots of albums (check out Eliza Gilkyson, Jaime Michaels, Jono Manson, Donna Dean, Tami Neilson, The Eastern, The Buckarettes, Crystal Bowersox.. the list goes on…) he produces records for others, writes songs, and teaches music at a university in New Zealand. And here he offers his own music to you. He’s an American living at the bottom of the world, viewing life through a windshield full of squashed bugs.
